I have worked for Manx National Heritage, both in the Library of the Manx Museum and as a volunteer at the Calf of Man Bird Observatory. My particular interests are the wildlife and the Island’s history. There are many opportunities for beautiful scenic coastal and inland walks. Depending on the time of year, there is a variety of birdlife to be seen, including a thriving community of Chough and many varieties of seabirds. There are many sites illustrating the Island’s rich history, including the Norse period and earlier. I can help you plan walks or tours tailored to your own special interests.

I was schooled on the Island before moving to Hong Kong and then onto South Africa. In 2002 I returned to the island and realised my dream when I qualified as a Registered Guide in 2013. Living and working abroad and having travelled extensively I know what it is like to arrive somewhere new. I have particular expectations of a tourist guide and I try to ensure that I more than fulfil these demands during preparations for each tour I guide. I pay attention to detail and prepare thoroughly to make the trips memorable and fun for the clients and for me. I regularly update and enhance my skills through a programme of continuous professional development. I am easy with small or large groups and enjoy planning general interest visits as well as bespoke tours. I also love the challenge of family history tours, having had an interest in genealogy for a great number of years. I run my own business so can offer to tailor a tour to your needs.
