All our guides are step-on guides who will join you in your own car, or hire car, minibus, or coach to inform and entertain you during your tour. Our guides can arrange local hire of fully insured vehicles, including coaches, with drivers.
Most of our guides also offer a variety of walking tours, ranging from easy to hard, in our Manx towns, villages and countryside.
Some of our guides offer specialist talks and tours at your request and tour planning services can also be provided.

Peter Beighton

Chris has enjoyed a varied career as a Manx Advocate, Alpine Chalet-Host and Vintage Tram Driver before embarking on a history and heritage degree course in 2015.
He is a keen walker and particularly enjoys opening up hidden corners of the Island to visitors.
He also has a passion for the Island’s industrial past and is keen to involve our unique heritage railways in his excursions wherever possible.
Chris is a competent French speaker having spent seven years living and working in the French Alps, and is qualified to guide in the French language.

I have been qualified as an Isle of Man registered tour guide for over 20 years.I was born and raised on the Isle of Man and some of my family I know were here in the early 1600s. I have a Master's Degree in Manx studies, my degree covered the physical geology, geomorphology, flora and fauna, prehistory, history, arts, folklore, traditional culture and heritage of the Isle of Man. I am a Manx Gaelic speaker and I am interested in the promotion of the Isle of Man's unique heritage and culture. I enjoy sharing my knowledge of the Island with people visiting here.

Phil Craine would be pleased to guide individuals and groups anywhere on the Isle of Man. He grew up on the Island and enjoys helping visitors discover its beauty for themselves. He is particularly fond of exploring the Manx hills and coastal footpaths, although would be happy to provide historic walking tours of the main towns too. He is also well-acquainted with the ancient 'keeills' (very early Celtic chapels) scattered around the Island, often in remote and beautiful settings. He qualified as a Registered Guide in 2013.

Worked as a volunteer with Manx National National Heritage on the Calf Island Bird Sanctuary.
I am a Manx speaker and have a great interest in Gaelic and Norse place names.
Can produce an itinerary for walks which include visiting the island’s diverse natural fauna, from short easy walks to slightly more energetic to suit the group’s needs.
Walks can also include the island’s industrial past, from fishing to mining.

I have worked for Manx National Heritage, both in the Library of the Manx Museum and as a volunteer at the Calf of Man Bird Observatory.
My particular interests are the wildlife and the Island’s history.
There are many opportunities for beautiful scenic coastal and inland walks.
Depending on the time of year, there is a variety of birdlife to be seen, including a thriving community of Chough and many varieties of seabirds.
There are many sites illustrating the Island’s rich history, including the Norse period and earlier.
